Mrs Eva Herold was known for her generosity and tendency to cook too much food in case someone unexpectedly dropped by – has never owned a cellphone.

Heidi was a person of tremendous courage. Heidi was one of those persons who had no sight and yet, no lack of vision
A gentle giant with a heart for God, his family and for people.
“A life well-lived, blessed with quiet courage and gentle humour graced our lives in so many way,”
Passionate and committed to computing, to his staff and to his students, he was one of UCT’s best-known professors, whose sense of humor, larger than life personality and Scottish accent were as legendary as his sense of fairness and his integrity. His knowledge of UCT and its people, his strategic thinking and innovative nature were at the heart of the department’s success over the years. Thanks to his outgoing, friendly, highly entertaining and often irreverent sense of fun, he was extremely well known not only within but also far beyond university circles.
Dr Fuad was also a “people’s physician” serving as a family doctor to generations of Salt Riverians, always ready to help those in need. A family quip reminds that Fuad “had more non-paying patients than paying ones.” He had an irreverent sense of humour and would engage in easy conversation with his patients, covering a range of topics.
Everyone have fond memories of him as a Scouter at 1st Belhar Scouts.
