Mrs Nomandla Yako-Udogwu will be remembered as an extraordinary woman who overcame so much, and who was very caring and committed to the children and families with whom she worked. She was a leader and educator in the Treatment Action Campaign and a strong activist against HIV denialism and for antiretroviral drugs access for all.
She was the most loving, caring and beautiful person that was loved and respected by so many. She always ensured her patients received the best possible healthcare, advice and support. Her contribution to her patients and to the pharmacy profession will be her ongoing legacy.
